Cumberland Gap National Historical Park covers 21,000 acres, and 14,000 acres of which are managed as wilderness. Within its boundaries are 23 cave systems and 70 miles of scenic hiking trails. One of the park's most popular natural attractions is Cudjo Cave, a limestone cavern that over the decades has been known by a variety of names, including Gap Cave and Soldier's Cave.
Norris Lake
Norris Lake extends 72 miles up the Clinch River and 56 miles up the Powell River. It has over 800 miles of shoreline with a surface area of 34,200 acres. If you are looking for the perfect place for fishing and boating, Norris lake is the place. It produces excellent catches of rock fish, walleye, and bass, as well as the usual species found in other area lakes. The months of June through September are popular for night fishing. Small mouth bass, croppie, white bass and walleye can be found.
